I logged in, how do I look up a word?

Open a new page and start looking up words! Highlight a word and press Option (Mac) or Alt (PC). The key to trigger a definition can be changed in the settings.

I am highlighting and pushing Option/Alt but a definition isn't coming up. Help!

Sometimes browser extensions are weird. Restarting the browser will probably fix the problem.

How do I open the side panel?

Right click the inContext icon Extension Icon and you'll see the option to "Open Side Panel". Here you will find a record of all your definitions and you can also search, delete, or export definitions.

How do I change the language and other settings?

Open the side panel and hit the Settings icon in the top right corner. Here you can choose the language to get definitions in, the level of the definitions, and the key used to trigger definitions.

When will you add more languages?

Currently, we're focusing on languages that we speak natively, have studied extensively, or that our friends speak natively. Although AI capabilities allow for additional languages, we prioritize high-quality definitions by personally testing each language. We plan to expand our language offerings in the future based on demand. If you have any specific requests, please let us know, and we'll consider them as we broaden our language support.
